Blended learning is a combination of both online study and traditional face to face teaching. 

Each group of four students conversed with a foreign teacher through a tablet. 10 ALTs participated today. The students asked for the ALT’ names and hometowns after greetings, and introduced the food and culture of Japan. They deepened communication with each ALT.

In regular classes, they have a conversation in English with their classmates, but today they have a conversation with a foreign teacher in front of them!

As each group communicated more, the conversation became livelier.

It was a very valuable learning opportunity.

ブレンディッド授業とは、タブレット端末を活用した学習と対面学習を融合させた授業です。4人1組でグループを作り、タブレットを通して外国人の先生と会話をしました。本日は、10名のALTの方々が参加してくださいました。あいさつ後、名前や出身地を聞いたり、日本の食べ物や文化を紹介したり、それぞれALTの皆さんとコミュニケーションを深めました。通常の授業ではクラスの友達と英語で会話をしていますが、今日は、目の前の外国人の先生との会話です。どのグループもやりとりをすすめるうちに会話も弾んできました。大変貴重な学習機会となりました。
